Title of program: Community Supported Agriculture - It doesn’t just benefit the farmer

Presenter:  Victoria Rogowski from Laurel Glen Farm 

Learn how 4 generations over 100 years have helped to develop a tight knit community bonding around food.  They have increased the access to healthy food, strengthened local and regional food systems and reduced emissions by welcoming the community to their farm.   Victoria will share the benefits and the struggles of what it is like to be a local farmer providing food for the community.  

About the presenter:  Victoria is an elementary school teacher.  Her heart and soul is in educating and connecting with the community members.  She manages the vegetable subscriptions each week, writing a newsletter to go along with it including recipes.  She has helped develop a farm store, organizes community events at the farm and is a familiar face in the schools promoting healthier eating.
