Program: The Ecological Consequences of Light Pollution: Birds, Bugs, Bats, People and Climate Change


Leo Smith will educate us today on the consequences of light pollution on humans, wildlife and our climate. He serves as Chair of the Connecticut Chapter of “Dark Sky International,” For his work in reducing light pollution, Leo was awarded the Illuminated Engineering Society’s President’s Award and the Dark Sky Lifetime Achievement Award.


Design Theme: A-Tisket, A-Tasket

A design using spring flowers in a basket.


Horticulture:

Class A – Cactus/Succulent (single plant or collection in a dish)

Class B – Daffodil

Class C – Forsythia

Class D – Any flowering tree/shrub or any other

specimen
