Old Mine Park Monarch Waystation Project

On June 14, 2016,  a group of  Long Hill Garden Club members, gathered at Old Mines park to plant a Monarch Way station. Dimitri Paris, the Parks Dept Supervisor, sourced a variety of plant starter plugs, which the club purchased, and tilled and prepped the planting bed. In a little more than 2 hours the members planted over 500 plant plugs and then mulched the bed. A good job, that we all will be able to enjoy and be of help to the monarch butterflies as they propagate and travel south for the winter.
